Meet Author T.H. Morris
Early Life |
I was born in 1984 and raised in Colerain, North Carolina. Over the course of my life, I have had many conversations on the matter, and the consensus remains the same: NO ONE has heard of Colerain! Well, let me put it in a nutshell for everyone right now: Colerain is in Bertie County, one of the largest yet underdeveloped counties in North Carolina.
Now, I'm sure that many people who grew up in small towns would say that their town is the smallest in existence, and I am no different. 221 people. With so much land and not many people, there were few constructive ways to pass the time. I cannot speak for everyone, but the outlet that I chose (and the one that has remained constant since my youth) was reading. I read any and everything. My favorite authors include Sharon Shinn, Walter Mosley, Ian Fleming, Judy Blume, Beverly Cleary, R.L. Stine, Lynn Reid Banks, C.S. Lewis, and countless others. As you can see by this list, I favor no particular genre. My only requirement is that the book be a good read. |
Education & Background |
I have many loves and passions. One of them is helping others in any way that I am able, and initially, I assumed my life plan would entail something in that regard. I graduated high school in 2002 and furthered my education, receiving a Bachelor's degree from UNC-Greensboro, and a Master's Degree from the Joint Master of Social Work Program between UNC-Greensboro and North Carolina A&T State University.
I have done community work as a food runner, coordination of care advocate, and clothing and food assistance advocate. My professional background includes positions as a Family-Centered Specialist, Emergency Services Clinician, Intensive In Home and Community Support provider, Mental Health clinician, and therapist. I reside in Greensboro with my wife of seven years, Candace. |
